Hi Old Blog Folk
I have been using bulletins or direct mail,
as I have been crushed by a lack of available
time to do anything but essentials.
Let's see: everyone knows the blues,
but let's see if I can write about the good
things now about being alive.
The love of remaining and new friends
tops the list. The love of a very select
few tops the list. There is certainly more
room for visitors, as I don't get out that
much anymore.
My California book series may be up to
nine, now (!) but I have to cut back on the
dreaming, and write one of them just to
see how it all feels after bringing in the first.
Very very reseach challenging. So much
to know to write anything well. God do I
wish I had or could afford an assistant to
go to libraries and run microfilm for me.
Ungrateful former students. Only kidding.
Who has the money and time to do that.
But the stuff coming up from the past is
utterly fascinating, and to be the first to
write on these lost incidents and consequences
is an honor and a pleasure. The history of my
state, California, will never be thought of in the
same way after I publish this series.
I am finally going to take a formal introduction
to Mediation course with a reknown leader of
the Mindfulness School of Buddhism on the 18th
Eileen too. She and I were formally divorced about
a month ago. Never been closer. This deserves
closer study by all Americans.
A very dear friend, and exciting presence, was
supposed to come visit in a month or so, and things
were getting deep. I have not heard a word from her
in three weeks, and have that sinking feeling she has
gone another way, and does not know how to tell me,
so simply leaves the vacumn in nerve jerking silence.
I hate that. If you have to walk, walk. But have the
courtesy to tell your partner you are calling off immediate
relations, at least for a while, or forever if you need.
Say Something. That's what makes us more versatile
but not better than monkies. Best to all, Bob Callahan
