"My brother-in-law Justin Skaggs passed away this friday because of complications from brain cancer. He was diagnosed on the 1st and passed away on the 14th. He was only 28 years old. He was a great guy and has left behind a wonderful wife Tara (Travis' sister) and two amazing kids Jake who's 5 and Abbie who's 3. Some of you may have seen it on the either the local news or on ESPN, he played for arena league football team the Utah Blaze. I know this has been such a lesson to me on life and that we need to live it the best we can. It's a gift and it's completely unpredictable. Everyone thinks "Oh that could never happen to me," but it can and it does. I hope it teaches you the same thing. "
This was sent to me from a friend. Travis is my good friend and the drummer of the old band. Whenever we would tour, we would always stop in at his sisters place and stay the night there. This guy was a good guy. When he got cut by the Patriots, he came home and worked for the cable company. I just thought that was the neatest thing.
