I was a bit worried about this month.
March 2009.
It started well enough.
But then kinda dropped off a cliff.
However, while not as strong as the AMAZING February 2009, March was VERY STRONG.
Let’s get into it.
First up was @lucida .
She was a Hopeful who only made one set.
And it’s a good one!
Red Hot Phone shows the power of CANDID shots.
Real.
Reality.
Even if it’s staged.
Contrived.
Don’t be fake.
Don’t make your laziness and lack of creativity produce a transparent “set” which is merely to get tips.
Make something MEMORABLE.
Lucida did that.
Red Hot Phone is a great, FUN set.
Not phony fun (no pun intended).
This set also shows the importance of FACIAL EXPRESSION.
Your face is an expressive tool.
USE IT.
And what else CAN a face convey?
Sincerity.
Viewers want sincerity.
If we wanted vacuous, vapid bitches, we’d have our noses buried deep in Playboy.
We CHOOSE to spend our money here.
Because we seek AUTHENTICITY.
What makes you authentic?
How can you showcase that in a set?
How can you make your set more REAL and RELATABLE?
Fantasy is great.
Use psychology.
Fantasy is facilitated by the ILLUSION of ATTAINABILITY.
I can’t stress this enough.
FOLLOW YOUR FUCKING FOLLOWERS BACK.
Moving on.
The next set did better than Lucida.
Check out @dawsen in Number One .
Sadly, there was never a Number Two (so far!).
Yes, that’s right: a Suicide Girl who made but one set.
And it’s great!!
Fantastic titties.
She could have been a star here.
Next, we got some good stuff from @bird .
It appears to have been her last set, but I Will Get Up. was a hell of a way to go out (if indeed she never shoots another set).
This cutie benefitted from some bold photography which I think even Jean-Luc Godard might have liked.
Don’t underestimate the power of primary colors.
Yellow is one of the traditional primary colors.
Bird looks great against the bold yellow of the first part of her set.
Very artful.
But let’s kick it up a notch.
Next we have @holtry in Rainy Day Fun .
Holtry was another Hopeful who did one set and pulled the plug.
But it’s a great one.
This gal had some jugs FOR THE AGES!!
God damn.
Moving on.
Perfection struck with @chapel in Citric Acid .
Here’s a Hopeful who DEFINITELY should have made more sets.
This one really stings.
But you gotta give more of a fuck than to make just one set.
The world usually isn’t handed to you on a silver platter.
Did Chapel deserve for it to be handed to her?
Absolutely.
Was it?
Absolutely not.
Amazing boobs.
Amazing photography.
Amazing creativity.
Somebody give her my digits!
Continuing with this high-quality month was @billiejo in Here Comes the Sun .
This gal had amazing areolas.
Such a breathtaking color contrast between her nipples and areolæ.
Stunning stuff!
We kept on rolling with @leola in Magic Drink .
What makes this set work is the DEFT selection of colors.
Lots and lots of colors.
But not just a random pool of rainbow vomit.
Another very artful set!

And @ethel was such a gal.
Sadly, this divine Suicide Girl appears to have bowed out of the set-making game with The Last Unicorn .
Truly our loss.
But fear not, things would get better real soon.
It was @riae in Sweet Jack .
If you look through Riae’s œuvre, you will find that her signature look became her blue hair.
But not here.
This gal had a fantastic rack!!

The fun continued with @ladeeluck in Wet N Wild .
She made one set as a Hopeful.
And unplugged her SG career shortly thereafter—leaving us nothing but this snapshot of her charms.
But it is a great one.
This set succeeds for two reasons: a judicious close-up (of her gorgeous face) and the weirdness of her shower scene.
Looking like she has hosed herself down with Armor All, this quixotic babe evokes the aesthetics of Little Baby’s Ice Cream (Philadelphia).
I’m not sure what it is she lathers up with, but her complete coverage in this concoction is both impressive and eye-catching.
The goodness continued with @marcie in Miss Take .
It was her only set as a Hopeful, but it showed off her lovely two-tone breasts.
Trinitone actually.
Tritone?
A blast of areolar sensuality.
Next we come again to perfection.

I presume by the title that she is Portuguese.
Regardless, this volcanic set (shot by the nonpareil @p_mod ) was one that I tipped two days ago.
If you are into gargantuan jugs, you must see this!!!
Several sets in March 2009 featured real or simulated coke snorting.
Perhaps the more notable was The Good Life starring @jezabel .
The thing I dig about this one which I dig is her gigantic “VEGAN” tattto.
As Sonic Youth says, “confusion is sex”.
Keeping up the wonderment was @binah in Your .
Binah’s got a rack like the taillights on a ‘57 Chevy.

This strong set is powered not least by the smart facial close-up three from the end.

This Hopeful set is fucking ART!!!

What is certain and cocksure is the grasp this set has on VISUAL ARTISTRY.
Again, it’s not just a bunch of colors thrown together.
Whoever was in charge of art direction for this set was an ARTIST.
Phenomenal stuff which deserves a bit of wall in MoMA.
Another great set was Radiate by @helioss .
This set is damn-near perfect.
One of the best in SG history.
Again due to its MASTERFUL application of color.
Not to mention that this Hopeful was hot as fuck!!
And of course…she never went Pink.

Thing about this gal is she’s PRETTY AS FUCK.

I’m pretty sure I tipped this set.

Three are great and one is perfect.
First a great one.

It appears to have been her final set as a Suicide Girl.

Next is the perfect one.
It’s @vesta in Dexter .
I definitely tipped this one (fuck it…I’ll be eating generic dog food for the next week).
Thing about Vesta is SHE HAS SOUL.
She has a soul.
Why do I say that?
Because she’s a nice person.
She’s nice to the people who follow her and tip her.
It might shock you to read that I find this to be a rare trait amongst many models on SG (including both Pinks and Purples).
So I would first ask that you TIP THIS SET.
Why?
For starters, she’s still on SG
She’s active here.
She didn’t abandon the site.
That’s SOUL.
[and it’s smart]
She made this set 14 years ago.
And she was gracious enough to leave me a kind comment regarding my tip.
Understand that this is a gal with 7000 followers (far less than she deserves).
So give this active “classic era” (?) model a follow as well.
Now about what makes her set perfect.
First of all, I am more likely to tip people who display some evidence of being good human beings.
I already knew Vesta was a quality person.
So if I had any doubts about tipping her, that aforementioned knowledge regarding her goodness sealed the deal.
But I don’t tip for charity.
Can’t afford it.

She gave it three good stabs as a Hopeful.
This was her debut.
She had a pretty undeniable rack.
So why didn’t she go Pink?
This was a strong era.
Tits weren’t enough.
One set was not enough.
In February and March of 2009, Suicide Girls AND Hopefuls were BOTH equally bringing fabulous content to the site.
This was great for members.
But rough on models.
Hopefuls often wouldn’t get their due.
And Suicide Girls had the pressure of knowing that the Hopefuls were REALLY FUCKING GOOD.
