In any business, there are slow months and rich months.
And then there are those rare months where your business TAKES A GIANT STEP.
Lucky are the businesses which can claim great success.
But Suicide Girls is indeed one of those businesses.
Likewise, we hear it is often darkest just before the dawn.
April 2006 on SG was a bit slow—a bit dark.
There were good sets (of course).
But MAY 2006 appears to be the month when SG HIT THE BIG TIME.
Keep in mind that I am solely basing my “history” on looking through the SG archives.
I don’t have much of a bias.
I like big boobs.
Ignorance is bliss.
I’m seeing these sets for the first time.
And I’m documenting my reaction to them.
Also, I’m trying to make sense out of how all these sets fit together.
One model has a great idea.
And then maybe the next model takes that idea and expands on it.
There are fads.
Trends.
Periods where certain things are in fashion.
Chic.
Hip.
Ok…
Enough blabbering.
Let’s get to the nudity.
April 2006 started slow.
Or maybe I’m getting jaded.
After you’ve looked through five years (!) of sets, it starts to take a little something extra to get you to the edge of your seat.
So thank God for @wendy who got April going that year with Go Team Redsox .
I mean, jeez…
I just wanna thank Wendy (from the the bottom of my heart) for lugging around those magnificent breasts all her life.
Us fellas can’t really appreciate how much those things must weigh.

Once Wendy got things rolling, the cork was popped on April.
The next day (April 12, 2006), @peanut comes in hot and heavy with Measurement .
Oh my goodness…what a darling little lady this ballerina is!
Wowza!!
Not long afterwards, @scarlett would get the underboob ball rolling with Hollywood Motel .
For those of you who like the “staring up” at a model POV, there are plenty of sets from this period that utilize that concept to great effect.
Scarlett looks absolutely smashing in this set!!
The next set that really caught my eye was Kittenish starring @eva .
This symphony in pink was captured by the inimitable @missy and her keen photographic eye.
The very same day (April 29, 2006), another set of magical boobs rocked the world of SG subscribers when @villain dropped Here She Lies .
It was a very good day for breasts.
And then we came to that red-letter month: MAY 2006.
Why “red letter”?
Because we can quantify a JUMP into a lunar trajectory.
The metrics went off the chart in May 2006.
Or at least it would appear that way.

The month started with @tao ‘s amazing pair of breasts in Anchors Away .
This is a fantastic set.
It has gotten 1500 likes in 15 years.
That is not bad.
That, actually, is a really good number for these older sets.
1500 means this set probably did quite well when it came out.
And that number has crept up over the years.
Ok.
So May 2006 started with a 1500-like set.
And it’s a dandy!
I love how she cups her boobs in this one.
A really underrated move, that.
Next we have an underboob torpedo from @zoli (who was doing such great work during this period).
I have chosen to highlight her set The Beat .
This set has 5000 likes.
That is an AWESOME number—especially for the early years of SG.
Hell, it’s an awesome number for a modern SG set.
That is a RARE number these days.
Ok.
Keep these numbers in mind.
We soon get an absolutely FABULOUS set from @sinergy entitled In Tune .
This lady is a goddess!!
This set got about 4000 likes.
Good numbers, right?!?

In the first five years of SG, 800 likes on a set was a GREAT number.
Ok.

Things changed on SG around May 24, 2006.
I don’t ever remember seeing a set that got five-figure likes.
But that’s exactly what @ember got on her set that day.
I’m persuaded to think that she was thee model that got SG over the hump—that propelled the site into the big time.
But there were soon other models who were also getting this astronomical level of response and adoration.
But Ember was very consistent in this.
She would have multiple sets during this period of time with 10,000+ likes.
That’s insane.
And awesome.
For instance (looking ahead), she has a set from October 8, 2006 that has 12,000 likes.
We would soon see @mary getting about 10,000 likes on a set in September.
But it’s not all about likes.
It really isn’t.
It is, rather, about great boobs.
And artful spreads.
And smokin’-hot asses.
And pretty faces.
And whatever it is you’re into.
So, to me, I WANNA find the under-appreciated sets, you know?
Because there’s no way in hell some gal with 10,000 likes is gonna have time for me.
I think men (and women [but mainly men]) come to SG hoping to find the miracle of companionship.
I really do.
