The great thing about the SG archives is that you can go back in time—to whatever era you like.
It might be the summer of 2023, but you can always go back to the winter of 2004 to keep yourself frosty.
November of 2004 had so many good sets that it’s almost overwhelming.
But the first one to really stand out to me was Cupcake by @sadie .
The lighting on this one and the luscious Sadie makes this truly a marshmallow dream.
It’s an absolutely-perfect set.
But we gotta keep moving and bring attention to all the sets which perhaps haven’t been thought of in awhile.
The next is a cubist masterpiece called Framed by @dyme .
This one is literally bursting at the seams—unable to be contained by the strictures of a mere two dimensions.
Picasso would have adored it!
A beautiful, beautiful set of shadow and light awaits us next in Silk Glove Revolution by @violet .

Moving into December of 2004, we had @mariposa with Bathroom .
Amazing color palette on this one for an amazing model.
I really love her hair.
Such a well-shot set!
If you want a really unique color scheme, gaze upon @trementina in Doll Valley .
Something about that sea-foam green gets me every time.
Always good to have a color wheel nearby.
A basic understanding of color theory can make a good model look GREAT!

The next set is the first one of this season that really GOT ME.
And judging by the number of likes it has (3000+), I would say it has gotten a lot of other people as well.
I am speaking of course about the phenomenal @sinope and her set Peachy .
This one has all the marshmallow goodness of the first set I discussed.
Lush, cool whites…
Clouds.
Gauze.
Ballet by Degas.
But this set is an order of magnitude more Russ Meyer-ed than our previous mallow goodness.
Sinope will split your banana.
It’s kinda like staring into the sun…looking at her set.
Or staring at the moon.
Truly, this set is a sea of tranquility.

She had the songs (the melody of her natural beauty) and the gift to capture it in the necessary recording medium.

Check out the frame where her knees are red (because she had been crawling around shooting) and you just also happen to see her “Ouch!” tattoo.
THAT is fucking art.

This gal has the intellectual chops to really make an SG set a MoMA-worthy work of art.

Finally, we come to the other set that tied for first place in my mind (for the three month period under consideration)…and that set is Vs Godzilla by @ciel .
This model is AMAZING.
OMG.
But this is where I’d like to take the opportunity to recognize photographic excellence.
This model would have looked good in any situation.
But she looks GREAT here because of the mad skills of @cherry .
This is such a fun set.
Such an inspiring view!
