Did you know there’s a multi-girl SG set featuring Lemmy (Motörhead) and Dave Grohl (Nirvana)?!?
Apparently not too many do.
The set only has 540 likes.
And it’s been out for about 20 years.
But let’s talk first about the GIRLS that make SUICIDE special.
Starting right at mid-year of 2003, things got going in earnest when @lennon released the beautiful sepia-toned On Stage on July 18th.
First, check out the hat she’s wearing.
Remind you of anyone?
It seems like a premonition of things to come (a late-in-the-year rendezvous with that guy from Hawkwind [Lemmy Kilmister]).
Lennon has some of the most astonishing breasts on SG.
They hang like teardrops.
An awe-inspiring sight!
Speaking of boobs, the all-star @mary would soon release the playful Sweetness on July 29th.
Shot by the wonderful @missy , it would once again show off SG’s first and biggest star (as shall be demonstrated later [wait till Lemmy meets Mary…].
Another great model doing great work in this era is @quinne . Also shot by @missy , I think Day Dreamer is her first GREAT set. She really distinguishes herself with this one (and the photography is divine).
If you are into cool, punk fashions, you gotta check out the set Sticks and Stones by @stina . Dig that polka-dot scarf! Yeah!!
Truth be told, the summer of 2003 seemed a little lean for SG.
But that would be rectified by year’s end.
In the mean time, there were some fantastic sets here and there.
Sesame Street by @reagan is a classic—fun and frightening…shocking and sexy.
The colors in this one are brash. And Reagan is one HOT lady!
I thought she might have been SG’s first model with tatted areolas, but it seems on second thought to be make-up. In any case, it is eye-catching.
I would say that @reagan and @lennon were perhaps the two most important SG models in the second half of 2003.
What do I mean by important?
Well, each of them put out multiple HIGH-QUALITY sets during this period.
They worked harder than the rest (perhaps).
They were blessed with natural beauty.
They were fortunate to collaborate with the most talented photographers.
More on them in a bit…
Next we come to @nadine on Sep. 13th with Spell It Out .
If we’re talking about the entirety of 2003, I think Nadine has to be up there as one of the most significant models.
And she has less than 1000 followers?!?
Please go follow this lovely gal!!
A bit of a rare find (perhaps) popped up on Sep 19, 2003 when @scylla released USB .
Scylla is an absolutely-adorable, hot babe photographed lovingly by @missy .
Another of my favorite models of this period is @aiki . Her set Paz features great photography from a high vantage point. And check out her awesome hair in this one. Almost like silent film star Louise Brooks. So cool!
On Oct. 16th, @lennon was back with another memorable set: Hotel Unwind . What a gorgeous lady!
Another set that might go unnoticed is Bicycle by @nestor . This was truly a remarkable shoot—sunlight on natural breasts. Doesn’t get much better than this.
Indeed, this was the first of three FIRE days in a row for SG. Things were heating up in the autumn at Suicide Girls.
The day after Bicycle (Oct. 24th) brought us Boost by @coco . This one’s for all you vintage car lovers. Truthfully, Coco looks hot as fuck here!
Oct. 26th would be the third day in a row with a FANTASTIC set on Suicide Girls. That day brought us perhaps the most creative set of the second half of 2003: Craft by @betsyjane .
Definitely some Punky Brewster/Cyndi Lauper vibes in this one. A bit of Pinterest porn, perhaps. I really adore this set!
Not long after we would have another set which seems to allude to the great French artist Yves Klein: Paint Fight by @lacey .
Here we, once again, get the superb combination of blue paint on pink skin. And the photography in this set (together with this absolute princess) adds up to pure luminous wonder.
But I finally found a set that checked all the boxes for me (during this period in SG history), and that set is Yellow Room by @eva .
Eva looks like Bettie Page’s daughter here. A truly-remarkable, CLASSIC pin-up set. I could spend many hours “looking” at this one.
The year was almost over when Yellow Room came out. That was Nov. 28th. It seemed as if the year might pass by with nothing else very significant happening.
But there were a few more goodies in store.
First was @ivy with Neutral .
Ivy is truly a natural wonder and this set deserves to be seen.
Next was the always-lovely @linz with Comfy (which also featured the great photography of @erin ).
Linz is a very important model to me. I really do enjoy all of her sets from this period. Such a strong talent!
And then the day of infamy arrived a day late—that nuclear day in SG history: a whole gaggle of hot Suicide Girls making Lemmy and Dave Grohl look more sexy than they had any business looking.
December 8th, 20o3 was a volcanic date in SG history.
In the set Probot , we have the mother of all multi-girl sets. I, for one, have never seen anything on this site as cool as this.
@missy captured some of the most timeless photos I have ever seen.
The context is that this is a music video shoot for the band Probot—that all-star group featuring Lemmy and Dave Grohl. [N.B. It looks like Scott Weinrich on guitar.]
After looking at this set, I am almost too flabbergasted to try and put it into words.
You MUST see it.
This photo shoot is the EPITOME of rock and roll.
What an honor for these girls to have participated in this video.
And what immense VALUE they added to this video.
My god….
The highlights are:
-@mary getting Lemmy all hot and bothered (seriously, it looks like he sobers up for a second in one photo…and I can see why…Mary was looking particularly fine that day)
-@bettina posing with Dave Grohl
-Ducky Dale (not sure what Jon Cryer was doing there, but he’s the real star of Pretty in Pink, so it is great to see him hanging out)
The overriding vibe of this shoot is FUN.
You can tell in Dave Grohl’s smile.
You can tell in Lemmy’s swagger.
THIS is the kind of video shoot that rockers like.
And this one is totally ridiculous.
The insane amount of SG babes in this set is earth-shaking.
And they are everywhere.
In hoisted, spherical cages.
Sitting on monitors.
Strapped to operating tables.
In all sorts of bondage situations.
And even just hanging out behind Dave’s drums.
A few girls were lucky enough to get a snap with Lemmy.
But the photos with Dave are the really joyous ones.
Here’s this sweaty drummer dude—hair hanging in his face—and he’s putting out great energy. He’s got a wonderful smile and he does GROUP photos with the SG models/actresses.
This must have been a superb bonding experience.
And it was, truly, another notch on the stock of SG’s proverbial shotgun.
Yee-haw, motherfuckers!
