The long roadtrip home comes nearly to a close...We are one hour from Seattle and stayed the night at my parents house last night. We have some amazing pictures and memories from the burn. A little disappointed in all the thieves, cops and tourists out on the playa. It's definately a different kind of burn these days. We had 2 gas powered scooters stolen from 10 ft behind our backs, my white fur jacket stolen straight off our bike in the cold of a late night and $200 stolen out of andnowmiguel's wallet, which was in our travel trailer. The part that makes me sad is not as much the physical losses but the presence of that kind of energy on the playa. On the other hand however, great things happened. I got to meet Baudot, D23 and bri_bri...danced til dawn Wednesday night at the Temple of Breaks, met and camped with 2 really great new friends E and Nate and ran into so many old friends. The art was beautiful, especially the Belgiam Waffle which you shall soon see pictures of. My strep throat was pretty much better as the week started but I was super tired up til about Thursday. I actually slept a full 24 hours Thursday morning to Friday morning...crazy! I still haven't had a shower but we did stop at Summerlake Hot Springs again this year and had a soak both indoors and outdoors. Our van had only one breakdown and Miguel figured it out before AAA had arrived, so that is awesome.
I'll give a proper photo update in the next couple of days. Until then we have to complete the last leg of our journey back to Seattle. Also, Miguel has his CoCA painting marathon and public auction Sept. 9th which will keep us busy. I actually didn't even get a chance to get tickets to the Hump 2 film festival and now it is sold out so I won't even see my entry on the big screen. Oh well, hopefully one of you can tell me all about it

Aw, great! My new set is up I really love this one, which was shot in Pioneer Square in Seattle one cool Fall evening. What is funny is that there was one of those huge police vans doing surveillance in the park and we actually asked their permission to do nude photos. As you see...they didn't mind!
