enjoying a little ganga while the controlled maddness that is dizzy gillespie washes over me. two cats chasing each other from one side of the apartment to the other sounding like galloping horses.
drove a little over 400 miles round trip today to muskegon michigan to pick up my new (only to me) scooter. swung by kalamazoo and had dinner with sorcha 'twas nice to see her. its been a while. the really nice thing about is that i have that wonderful feeling of accomplishment that one does not necessarily come by while unemployed. now, don't get me wrong, i know full well that if i applied myself i could accomplish plenty with all my free time. but i don't want to. i try to treat being laid off like a vacation, and i succeed most of the time. reading good books, relaxing going to museums and checking out the city. that actually lend a certain feeling of accompishment as well, but they are vastly different.

where was i....lets just pretend that i said what i wanted to and it made sense.

Sorcha's Definition of Accomplishment:
When you complete something you set out to do and better yourself in the process; therefore, visiting museums and art galleries, reading good books, researching ways to continue your education, watching programs you wouldn't normally have time to view, and taking an occasional road trip are all accomplishments.
You are still growing, intellectually, instead of letting yourself waste away in front of the television sixteen hours per day. Were you to do that during the entirety of your lay-off, I'd have to bitchslap you with an entire roll of Turkish Delight.
