got invited to a nice dinner party last night. went to the store to buy some wine to bring to said party, forgot my phone so ran home to get it. parked in a tow zone, threw on my hazards, ran in, got phone, came out, truck won't start. in a tow zone.
worst part is, i had been putting off fixed the little problem, when it was a little problem, until it became a huge problem. oi!
had to lay in the slush and bypass a safety switch under the truck while my roommate was turning the key. got it started, and parked it legally, and it only took three hours.
had to start it the same way this morning before the roommate went a workin' drive it out to my parents house and spend two hours pulling parts off calling around to see if anyone had a part for my seventeen year old truck and putting parts back on.
so take it from me, why do something little and easy today when you can let it grow into a huge inconvenient hassle tomorow*
this is also my time tested financial strategy
*or the most inconvenient day after that

This is unrelated, but I was reminded of it somehow... Non sequiturs abound, eh?

Morticia (Gomez's adopted sister) used to bat at the snowflakes. It cracked me up. Gomez usually just hops up into the window and gets this look on his face that screams, "WHAT'S THIS STUFF?!?"
