I know photographers love to showcase winter, the sparking snow, the glistening tree limbs (courtesy of freezing rain that is likely to cause power outages), but by March 1, these pretty pictures are VERY tiresome. I don't have pix to show, but consider what you might see in the inner city, such as Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, Allston: 40-inch high snowbanks covered in dirty crap, including last weeks aborted trash pickup, litter including coffee cups, MacDonalds bags, BurgerKing Plastic containers, empty six-packs of Bud everywhere. Gee, sounds like art in the making, doesn't it?
I live on Cape Cod where we don't have a lot of fast-food joints, don't have trash pick-up (so we store our trash in the garage until we go to the local dump (excuse me, landfill/recycling facility), but I'm not going to bore you with another "lovely" winter photograph when all I want to see is some daffodils and jonquils popping out of the ground.
