I enjoy lifting weights not because I want to look good, but for the power. When I decide I want to move iron at work, I'm going to move it. In order to do that my body needs to be strong enough to handle the effort. When I swing a hammer I want it to sound like thunder. For that to happen, my body needs more power. Technique can only take me so far, so I train and push past my limits.
Also, I have a set number of clothes I bring to work. When I go on days off I empty the whole duffel bag into the wash. Once that load is down I pack it back up and grab two pairs of coveralls. Then fly back to work to start all over again.
