The most amazing thing happened this past weekend. But first let me fill y'all in...my girlfriend and I have been together for a year. Things have been going great, we are open about everything. She even has the password to all my accounts and even gets on this site to admire some of the models. Now my family usually don't like anyone I bring home. Me being the adopted one, they take extra care to make sure I'm happy given my biological family past. Well in recent months my family and girlfriend have become close, to the point where she babysits my niece. So it has been bliss for a year.
Now here is was happened. I bought a ring, the ring. The one ring that would bind us, LOTR pun intended. Months were spent planning, friends and family helped run interference and gather Intel. It was a full covert operation, that lead to a successful purchase of her perfect ring. It was bought on a Friday and ready for pickup on Saturday. Now there is where things went south. The ring wasn't supposed to be ready until a week from Friday, when I was safely at work. The woman has hawk eyes, nothing escapes her sight. So I did the only thing I could do, waited until she slumbers then sneak off into the morning for retrieval. Failed! She woke up when I was on my way back, so I hid the ring outside in the laundry room. She knew immediately that I hid something. So I waited and brought in a load of laundry, the ring hidden in the bottom. Turns out the dog, Bandit my loyal companion, will betray me. He kept nosing at the ring, causing more questions. So I did the only thing left, got down on one knee. There in front of her I spoke her name and asked the most important question.
She said yes!
I had asked her dad for her hand, I'm from an old southern family it is how I was raised. This was after she told him her answer.
This was the next day for Valentines. We took a rode trip, driving from our house in Shreveport down to New Orleans. More picks are on my Facebook.
Y'all, it was a good weekend and I learned a valuable lesson. Don't trust the dog.
