I was recently volunteered to give up my off week, meaning I'm on a five week work rotation. For anyone that does not know, I am oilfield trash so I work weeks at a time before I get a day off. On this special occasion I will work just over a month straight before I fly home for my week off.
I love my career so I will gladly give up my off days in order to stay in the field. I'm insane but enjoy the sounds of iron hitting iron, pump trucks roaring, and long 15 hour shifts.
But back home, I adopted a kitten to keep my dog company (his best friend is a cat that my sister has). Northern Louisiana is going through some severe weather. But I'm at work and can't do anything about it, my dog hates thunder and can't sleep during a storm unless I'm next to him.
Also here is some of the things I've seen from home until work! Plus a snapped drive shaft that I almost got hit by, long story. Eh and I apparently have tan lines on my face from wearing dark tinted safety glasses.
