A kind lady at the airport asked if I work in the oilfield. When I smiled and replied yes she admitted that she could tell by my boots. After you took a pounding for a 100+ hours a week would you look rough too? But she had nothing negative to say, asked me where I'm from and do I enjoy my work. Her husband is oilfield trash as well so we had a nice conversation. It is nice to talk to friendly people after they discover I work in the oilfield. We spend days, weeks, or months away from home so it helps when we meet friendly people during our travels. I have been in this career field for three years and have met awesome people during that time and see quite a few states in the US.
