So, I'd written off my mechanic guy. I sent him one last text message sunday after rehersals to let him know what happened with the girl I posted about. I got a txt back that said "congr". Is that even english?
He never replied to indicate he got my "i like you" text.
So, I do what I always do. I bitch and moan and then move on.
And then, today, I get a call from a number I dont recognize. Voice mail is left. I check it an hour later. It's him
"Hey, Girl. So, I ran out of minutes on my phone so I havent been able to call. I can't make karaoke tonight but I wanted to see if I could take you to a movie tomorrow or Saturday. Call me at work at XXX-XXXX"
Its like he didnt even get my text. or is pretending like he didnt.
So I called back. Told him I had plans tomorrow but that I'd do a movie saturday.
I've decided that I will say nothing about the text I sent him. It's a do-over.
Also, I met some other guy a few weeks back. Overheard him talking about being a Steelers fan who'd just moved here and wanting to know where to watch the game. I interupted and told him where the Steelers bar was. Gave him my number.
So at some point, we were talking about music and I mentioned tom waits and asked if he liked him and the guy said "not in the least".
Is it wrong to discount someone because they don't like Tom Waits? I am convinced there is something wrong with people who don't like Waits. Or at least appreciate him. But "not in the least?" It's like he told me "In my free time, I drown puppies"

As for Waits? I admit, I don't know much of his stuff.
But look, I like a dude that doesn't like Shinedown...what can I do?
(insist our next road trip, i drive, and force him to listen to it! drivers choice and all, right?)
