So, while filling out a little questionnaire for my friend Maggie, I realised something about my reading material.
I own far too many books about subjects no one should really care about.
I own no books on the type of history we learn in school. No books on the Roman Empire, any of the world wars, any of our Presidents (well, unless you count my copy of "Shrub") or anything that would seem to be overtly...educational.
What I do own?
I own a book on the history of mauve. As in...mauve. And the history of blue. And red . Mauve, however, is my favourite.
But my books don't stop with color history.
Right now, I'm reading "Salt" which was written by the same man who wrote "Cod". I'll give you two guess as to what those books are about. I'll give you a hint. They rhyme with "vault" and "rod".
There's also Zuckerman's "The Potato". And "Vanilla" by Patrica Rain which was no where near as good as Tim Ecott's book by the same name.
I own two books about vanilla.
And then come all my books about religion and my books about how to understand those books on religion.
And then right back to "Chocolate" by Mort Rosenblum (Rather fitting he's next to all my books on the jewish faith..) and his other book "OIives". After that "Color" by Victoria Finlay. That book is out of order. It should be up there with Mauve and blue.
I find this all very facinating and I'm sure it reveals something about myself of which I'd be very ashamed.

I think we should make it our mission to empty every liquor cabinent belonging to everyone on our friends list. And then throw up in their kitchens. Par-tay!
