Reveling in my new found fanboyism, this week I have:
* Gone to a special midnight opening show of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on IMAX
* Played World of Warcraft for perhaps oh, 40 hours since I bought it last Sunday
* Waited desperately for Saturday to arrive so I can read the new Harry Potter book, which I have on pre-order with Amazon. I also bought a second copy on Amazon so my wife and I can both read it at the same time. Did I mention that I shelled out an extra $15 for the special edition with the 10 bonus pages and note from the author?
* Watched Batman Begins a second time at the theatre.
* Got excited about a new fantasy movie coming out called The Brothers Grimm. It's going to be worth watching because it's by Terry Gilliam who brought us such bizarre classics as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Brazil, and 12 Monkeys -- as well as the much weirder Adventures of Baron Munchausen, and Time Bandits.
* Not taken out the trash once.
Next thing you know, I'll probably stop hating Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, get a trenchcoat, and start camping in a movie theater parking lot with my new friends who come over to play Dungeons and Dragons and drink Mountain Dew every Saturday. We'll avoid routine maintenance of our bodies like brushing our teeth and washing our hair, and before long we be legends, for I am the dwarf Carlos!
