Mike and I met a real estate agent yesterday.
We are going to buy either a house or a townhouse before the year is over.
He says we can have 4 kitties.
Hurrah!
I'd like to followup on this.
We talked to a real-estate lady yesterday. She was really positive and tried hard to get us excited about the prospect of owning a double-wide in Renton or a condo in a city without freeway access, but we're really in odd financial shape to be home owners (even if it's a home on wheels.) Before we start "the process," we have to file our 2004 and 2005 taxes (likely getting a loan to pay it off.) After that, we'll try to convince a money-lender to pre-approve us for a home loan. This is where I forsee making the, "I can't pay bills on time, because I'm a 'tard, not because I'm broke," speech. Then I'll convince them that being self-employed isn't really that big a risk because we did pretty well in odd-numbered years this decade.
But hey, maybe we can buy a home in Renton and tow it somewhere nice a few years down the line.
