Dear Safeway Ethics Hotline (business.ethics@safeway.com),
While shopping at your store recently, I discovered a puzzling phenomenon:
6-packs of 8oz cans of Coca Cola cost $2.50 for 48 ounces
2-litre bottles of Coca Cola cost $1.25 for 67 ounces.
While one could argue that aluminum cans cost more to manufacture, I prefer to believe that by making it economically infeasible for your customers to buy the smaller size, you're attempting to addict them to sugar and caffeine -- ensuring their return to buy ever larger quantities of Coca Cola in a never-ending cycle of heartbreak and dental bills.
You suck!
