Wasn't going to post in here today, but some things I read in other journals made me want to share a few things:
-nearly half the world's people live on less than two dollars a day.
-33,000 children die every day from hunger or treatable illnesses.
-nearly 800,000,000 humans go hungry every day.
-the gross domestic product of the poorest 48 countries is less than the wealth of the world's three richest people.
I know some people find these facts numbing or boring but only by being aware of them can we ask ourselves what our response to them should be.
