I just got home from work. It's midnight, but I'm never tired when I get home. Honestly, I could stay up until 2 or 3 every night and then sleep in until noon every day. That would be my preferred schedule. Sadly, I do that on weekends, and then it bites me on the ass when I have to get up early on Monday. Oh well.
I made vegetarian tacos as soon as I got home (love them!) and a lemon drop. A very girly drink, but the world needs more lemon drops. And they're so easy to make! Here's how I make mine:
1. cut 2 medium meyer lemons on half (using meyer lemons really makes a big difference).
2. cut a slit in one and run it over the top of the glass. dip wet glass edge in suger.
3. juice lemons and put into shaker.
4. add an equal amount of vodka (warning: this can be a lot of vodka. I like it that way).
5. add superfine sugar to taste - about 2 teaspoons full.
6. shake vigorously with ice. it should have little icy shards on top when you're done.
7. pour into glass. you can garnish with a lemon round if you're trying to impress someone.
Easiest cocktail you will ever make! I wish I had a picture, but it's too dark in here, and I'm too lazy. I have to warn you that if you make lemon drops this way, they will be forever ruined for you at bars and restaurants. These are soooo much better.

and i think the kamikaze is easier. as is my personal favorite, the gin martini. but with all gin. all you do: gin, ice, shake vigorously for a while and strain into a classy looking stem.
BUT! on to what i came over to comment about.
i'd love to get out and meet the greater SG community and i'm glad you brought up going. i always feel kinda like some creep when i suggest meeting up with folks from here. i guess that means i can't really be too much of a creep since i worry about it but still, sadly, nothing.
but anyway, i haven't been to that p-patch yet but now i'll have to make a point of it. weeding date? i'd love to see it with someone who's in the know.
i am beyond excited that my skullcap is sprouting. i've now got four babies!! so if you want a great nervine you may have some of mine.
getting to be too much of a comment here so i'm cutting it short. read you soon!
