I just finished my last essay for this quarter. It was about Eleanor of Aquitaine, and the social background of Marie de France's Lais. I'm so glad it's done, and this quarter's essentially done (I have one final left). I really needed to be done. My enthusiasm was waning rapidly.

as far as food crops i love love love tomatoes but be sure it's a cherry tomato or it might not ripen fully since they like more heat. and i am actually required, as a bastyr student, to recommend kale . it is pretty damned good for you, though. i love leafy greens, we're putting in a whole section of them in our garden plot.
and those are fantastic pieces! i'm kind of a mid-level knitter. i can do all the basics with my eyes closed but things like fishermans ribs make me a bit queasy still. oh, and i'm not in ravelry as of yet. also not entirely sure i have time for more stuff...
damned, you got a long reply. teach me to get excited about my plants
calendula is amazing stuff for cuts and scrapes, so you know. just pick the flowers and dry them. also, they can't go to seed on you if the flowers are off.
i do love broccoli greens and tops and i know they do just fine here because i keep stealing the greens from somebody a few blocks up the way from me. kale is great for you, i think cucumbers do alright. i'm getting into my first full on food garden out here as we speak, as well, so i'm not totally sure.
i'm so excited to till under our cover crop and plant my herbs around the house! it's gonna be rocking for sure.
let me know if you need some help with the patch. are you doing the one up at the top of the Ave by that old school?
