There are things in life that should and should not be things that we have to wait for, friends who write us a check for watching their baby girl (money I did not ask for) and then bounce said check and then call us up and say "we will be there as soon as he comes to pick me up" are one of those things. Two hours and 10 minutes later...say hello to the cash. Urgh! That pisses me off, those people were so inconsiderate and rude and UGH! I know they went home to watch the all star game and then came to give us our money. The thing is, we had plans to watch the all star game with some other friends and also go out to dinner. We got to go out to dinner. Figures. That happened yesterday.
Today rocked! I took my student chickie out shopping for her outfit for our summer party this Friday. She picked out for herself the cutest skirt, shirts and shoes ever. She'll be rockin a pin striped charcoal grey skirt with some small pleats at the bottom, a white Roxy t-shirt, and a pair of pink and white shoes with white socks. If she has a mishap while eating she will be rockin the skirt and a grey Hurley T. She has impeccable taste. I love it. She got her haircut today and Friday we'll be streaking it with some pink hair dye, it washes right out pretty much, and we'll be spikin it out she'll be awesome. Somewhere from someone she inherited awesome fashion sense, which rocks because I don't have to do much for shopping with her but take her to the stores and ask her what she likes.
Tonight, I got a call from the manager at Hastings the music/book/movie store that I applied to and I passed my UA woohoo! So, I will be going in on Saturday for orientation. Oh and there are two clients at the developmental center whos parents specifically requested me for respite care. I go to their home and basically help their kids or just make certain they have a supervisory eye on em while the parents go shopping or camping in the one case and with the other I will be lifting a 160lbs guy into his wheelchair in the mornings I think. As it is that rocks too because it pays 10.50 an hour starting out and I can fit in 30 hours a month just for the morning job of lifting the dude into his wheelchair and I can probably work in another 20 hours a month with the other client who's parents go camping alot. I will also probably pick up hours keeping an eye on the dude in the wheelchair while his mom goes to the store and stuff. When it comes to the other client I am not certain, I know basically they want someone for when they go camping on the weekends.
I hope you all had a great day and have good rest of the week. HUGS to you all.
