Yesterday was 7 months for Britt and I. We both worked but we also managed to make it out to dinner and then to have some fun afterwards . She's everything I could have ever hoped for in a partner and more. I can see forever in her eyes and I'm not scared for the first time ever. Granted there are those moments I let my own insecurities get all up in my head; but then I remind myself that, that is just what they are; insecurities and I move on. No sense dwelling in it. She also helps quash those feelings because she's just so awesome that she knows exactly when I'm feeling that way and she does something that strengthens my resolve against those niggling fears.
In other news on the 22nd we start watching her younger brother for 50+ hours a week and when we're not doing that I will be watching the two kiddos I get to watch now, they're AWESOME. Then, when Britt is not watching her brother she will be working as a chef at a restaurant here in town. I'm pretty excited about this, not only is it more money; but we will get to just go out and have fun with her brother around while her mom works and it allows for Britt to quit her one job which is basically draining money as far as gas because she works 16 hours but it's not 2 8 hour shifts so much as it is 4, 4 hour shifts; so 8 trips per week of about 15 miles or more. It's cost effective for her to quit that job, especially considering what her mom is paying effectively doubles her income just from that one job and we won't have the gas costs. Basically, our plan for leaving Cheyenne in 18 months seems to finally be set in motion and we are going to be able to save as well as afford bills *and* fun things to do with no problem. Yup, life is pretty fantastic right now!
