To break the monotony of my supplying an answer then saying "How and why do I know this shit?" constantly I am simply going to set it up so that I give ten random facts that I know every day until I run out (Minxxy 's idea that I only use ten a day) and start recycling. Yesterday's blog held in it 20 random facts and it kicked off this "factstravaganza".
Fun facts you may or may not know are as follows:
1). Johnny Appleseed actually planted twice as many pear trees as apple trees.
2.) William Shakespeare is believed to have been dyslexic.
3.) The Vikings wore primitive tube socks made of peat moss and sheep's bladders.
4.) Emperor penguins appear in one of the ancient Minoan frescoes on the Santorini archipeligo in the Aegean Sea.
5.) Marilyn Monroe was a pipe smoker.
6.) The museum that housed the largest collection of original Smokey the Bear memorabilia was burned to the ground by an arsonist.
7.) In 1975 pranksters broke into Big Ben's tower and set the gears so that it ran counter-clockwise as an April Fool's Day joke.
8.) Major League Baseball's elite players are supplied by a small gum manufacturer renowned for unique flavors, which include "tobacco" and "beef jerky."
9.) Coconut milk can be used as an antiseptic.
10.) For the duration of his presidency, Ronald Reagan slept with a roll of Life Savers candy under his pillow to bring good luck.
With that I bring you another segment of "Shit I know...but why do I know this shit?"
