Ok, I know I am usually nice and sweet and stuff on here, because that is my general outlook on things, I am pretty much a happy, nice, "sweet", individual...until you get me angry/sad.
One of the things that I list in my profile as something that makes me sad are people who are your friends to your face and then talk badly about you behind your back; what I have failed to mention there is that I dislike, intensely, people who do NOT have the courage to speak to you face to face but run to your supervisor at work and tell them all about you and things that you do that are not exacty quite up to par.
Such as...I just got my new laptop, I took it to work with me and played around on it, generally looking up things for class and sometimes trolling here because I had nothing to do. I also let my clients play with it and I knew thatI was taking the risk there, anyway... I have a co-worker who is taking over my position at the one house while I replace someone else at a different community living spot. We share an office for these two positions. Anyway, like I said I have been playing around on my laptop; not all the time but she has seen me most of the time because between 7 and 8 pm is the "quiet" hour for most commmunity lliving, it is after the errands are done and dinner has been had and is now basically time to wait until meds need to be prompted. So during that time I will take the time to do my book work ( we have to document the evening per client and also balance ledgers and sign off on med sheets) and yes I will be logged in playing around on the net. Anyway, this girl has been friendly with me and treated me as though it were all right for me to be using my laptop and then rather than talk to me and say something like; "Do you really think that's appropriate, would you be comfortable if the Boss walked in right now?" or something of the like, ignores procedure (person first...they are supposed to talk to us about it first) she runs and tattles to the boss. Then, I was on my cell phone (the only time she has ever seen me on my cell phone by the way) last Tuesday, with my Birthfather who I just got in touch with in September. He lives in Connecticut so yeah, he''s an hour ahead and they always call during work, anyway I takl to him for a bit and all that since yeah he *is* an hour ahead and by the time I got off work it would suck to talk to him when I know he wants to be in bed. Anyway, again, ignoring policy and being all "Hey, I thought we weren't suppoed to use personal cell phones at work?" or "Can I talk to you, prolly not cool to be at work and on the phone with a personal call, would you be ok with the boss walking up at that minute?" or something of that nature she AGAIN runs to the boss and tells her about it. Hello procedure and policy clearly state that you talk to the person first before reporting them. Then there is just the fact that she flat out told my boss, when one of the clients was having financial issues right after I finally got back to work what with my shoulder keeping me out for over a month and then getting some stupid viral thing that kept me laid up for a week and a half; that she suspected that I was the reason that there were difficullties and maybe they should check into where the money was actually going. FOR FUCK'S SAKE! and then she has the nerve to smile at me and chat with me and treat me like a friend. Seriously, if I see something that is against policy I talk to the person first if it happens again then I report it; but to just flat out run and tattle to the boss and to just say what she said about the money I am so sad that I treated this girl as though she were worth friendship. I was all happy annd stuff because I thought that when the going got tough I would have someone on my side and then I find out that she is a fucking rat bastard. It just makes me want to beat the shit out of her; but I won't...I'll go into work tomorrow and smile at her and pretend to be friendly with her because I will keep my friends close and my enemies closer when it comes to this situation. She wants me out of the office with a different office space that is just fine; she wants to run and tattle about what I do that is "wrong" and "not right" it's all cool with me because from now on when she does the wrong thing at work no more looking the other way.
Besides, I generally tell people what they did wrong and ask if they knew that was against policy and I let it slide a few times but if it is an ongoing problem then I talk to the supervisor. I just expect the same courtesy from others, and I know that I should not set up expectations but I do.
Anyway, sorry about that and it being so ambiguous and roundabout but I cannot mention, due to donfidentiality, what I do, who I work with (clients) or who I work with as in staff.
