So a friend of mine from the Navy grabbed a fishing pole, a life vest, and his kayak and headed out into the gulf of the coast of Louisiana for a simple little day of fishing. They found his kayak, vest, and pole overturned in the gulf without him. The coast guard and associates search over 3,000 square miles and found nothing.
I suppose he is really gone but Im having a bit more trouble dealing with this then I expected. He was the type of guy who never bought much so he was always ready to pack up a suitcase or backpack and be gone. That was just the way he lived for no particular reason. And thats the image I have of him now. He did not drown, he just decided to take off for a bit. I know its most likely not true and he really is gone but it is just so odd to me that he lived that way and left that way. Just poof, see yah later guys. Rusty was a good dude. Nothing ever really seamed to get him down and was the type of guy you would always like to have around.
In other news(I feel weird shifting gears like this but its what is going on and thats what this is for right?) my jeep is broke for the night. The simple story is my AC broke so we bypassed it and put on a shorter accessory belt. The belt was to tight and shattered the tensioner pulley. I bought a new pulley and belt. The new belt wont fit and Im not sure why yet. Yay. I wonder how much a new AC is? That would sove the problem. Fuck. Broken cars and a broken heart all in one day. What a strange combination.
In case you were wondering yes I had a few shots of rum to relax a bit. Tomorrow is another day.
