So, I guess it is time to make my "Comeback" to SG....I have been quite a busy little girl.
So, I hear today is _thegrifter_'s birthday...so I will begin with a "Happy, Happy Birthday" to him!
<journal>
So, I am moved in to xcdat's house...just maybe not entirely unpacked...yea, that does suck. My little monster and I both started school yesterday. Song for you:
"Back to school, Back to school
To show my Dad that I'm not a fool.
I've got my lunch packed-up,
My boots tied tight.
I hope I don't get in a fight!
Oh, Back to school, Back to school..."
So, my first day of school was nerve-wrecking. It has been at least a couple semesters since I was in college last, and well....I have been through a lot of changes, back then, and recently. Recent changes for me, personally, are for the better, of course....just I was still nervous walking around campus, and in my classes.
My first "class" is a step-aerobics type class. I need 1 PE Credit, and Dance was all full. lol But, the instructor seems pretty neat, and he seems to like to try new things...as with music and such. I am hoping as we get further into the semester, I can maybe bring some music to try...something different.
My second class is my Sophmore English/ English 1302. My professor there is quite funny. So I am guessing/hoping that this class will be fun. At least the discussion parts anyways. He is apparently an aspiring actor, and has a young daughter very much into Anime. Seems like a neat character. He also demonstrated for the class how he was "an expert smoker" by using the chalk for a cig. That was pretty funny. He hasn't smoked in 5 years...I feel like offering him a smoke after class. lol What is it about corrupting people that feels so good?
And lastly, my third class of the day...Government. *shivers* I can honestly say, that I do know a little about politics and how things work...but that is VERY little. I guess that is what I am there for, though. To learn. yay. The professor for this class is pretty nice. She has a deal if you make a 90% or above on the first two tests, you are exempt from the Final. She'll give you the average of those two test grades and input that as your final grade. That sounds really awesome, but it also makes me wonder....how hard are these first two tests? Obviously it wouldn't be that easy to be exempt from the Final Exam...right? I get that she is promoting being prepared for the tests...I dunno...just seems odd to me, especially since she already is allowing us to have one large notecard covered in notes for all tests. And you can bring the two from the first test to the FINAL...crazy. She does have a few projects that seem interesting to me...so, we'll see how everything goes.
What else is new....hmmm. I have a Nintendo DS LITE...and I LOVE IT! I am loving playing the New Mario, and The Brain Game. Austin has one, too...and of course he enjoys his.
Oh yea, xcdat and I went to stay at my Grandfather's place on Lake Michigan a few weeks ago, and that was absolutely beautiful. I miss the weather, and the water.
We got to see Bakeryman last Wed, which was very cool. We had fajitas and home-made tortillas...thank you for coming by, Bakery/Tortilla Man! It was awesome to see you!
Anywho, things are going well...xcdat met my parents this past weekend...and they LOVE him! That makes me soooo happy!
