Once more , cause this is important Miro is doing the Race For Life, running for cancer, so check our her profile and show her some support, cancer is with out saying serious, both my mother and grandmother have been effected by it so I take it to heart.
So yeah since the showed aired I've been pretty much obsessed with Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. It is a pretty awesome show, season two lags a little in the middle but man does it end on a amazing note. Hopefully there will be a third season. Annny way been kind of want to do something like this for a while now a bit of a walk through to show where one of my little photo manips are born. I debute this in the last blog but now here is a little break down of how it came to be.... not too indepth but something.
This will be kind of half hearted as I m lazy but just to show what all goes into one of these. Its simple and complicated dance of blending and migrating multiple images and creating your own deal. I m no where great at this I m decent there are some truely gifted people at this... but its a nice hobby to have.
So...
Step 1:.... cut a hole in the box.
Wait wrong instructions....Since I was going to be in the picture the first part which is usually apain was fairly easy. First I took a nice stupid looking picture of myself.
Yes I know it looks silly the next part Ihad to go through a ton of images to find a good, stock image (basically an unaltered photo that I will alter) of Summer Glau.... Now I could have done this all the hard way and found her in the perfect stance with out anything and place the gun in her hand so on so forth... but once again lazy and there are perfect images of her already like that since she is in the show... so 30 some terminator sites and 50 some pictures later I decided on this one:

Now looking at where she came from you can see... not quite what I ended up with I wasnt all lazy. I could have settled with just this look for her... but there is nothing cooler then a banged up terminator... so I went hunting for more base images to steal crop copy and do what ever I could to take both my self and summer to hell.

People who are good at this can create this from scratch... if I spent a long looong time on this I probably could too... but again..lazy. So I have found tricks here and there along the way. Using these images I fordge some at least in my opinion some pretty good looking battle damage.
There was a bit mroe then just cutting and pasting alot of blending about and hours work of work once I found all the images to blend them on propperly.
Lastly there was the back drop and a little research in to the future. Which the best way to do it was look in to the new Terminator movie, Salvation. Which gave me the perfect back drop and a bit of a look in to resistance uniforms.... notice the Red armbands?
Then all that was left was to build up the foreground, which some picture from Arnie and Stallones Hollywood Resteraunt failed chain of the original Terminator Govinator provided nicely.
That was that, couple hours of internet scouring and a bit of "photoshop" *I actually use paint shop pro.... reguardless in a couple hours I have joined the resistance.....
We fight for John Conner.
Will you join us?
