PJ Harvey
The Civic, Auckland.
PJ Harvey is freakin ADORABLE!!
I had never thought of her as being adorable before. But her accent is SO quaint and english and just CUTE.
She was funny, interacted with the audience some, did a freakin good job of making her album tracks sound different and awesome on stage, she complained about her knee 'giving her gip' (SO cute!), wore a white dress with writing on it a la White Chalk album cover, told us that the words to The Devil were written on one arm, and the words to another song were on another part of the dress, had awesome shoes, played 3 different guitars, keyboard, the harmonica, and two other weird instruments that I can't even name (one was some sort of synth I think, but it was small), used a metronome to accompany her on piano for a song, played a few songs with Mick Harvey who opened for her, did about 4 or 5 songs for her encore, was proposed to by someone in the audience (to which she replied she hasn't been proposed to [during a show] before), made a very funny reference to one of her albums by saying she was thirsty - her throat was "Dry."
In short, it was just a fucking cool show.

To answer your question, I've got a friend that works at a certain tv network. They get promo copies of the episodes over a week before it's even aired in the US, but there's the possibility of changes made in that time. The last episode had green-screens in the background a few times where they hadn't added the footage yet.
I'm so envious about PJ. Sounds like a great night.
We need to get together some time before you go. What date are you leaving?
