Well last night was fun, we went to a Goth Vs Industrial night at Duo bar in the city. It's been awhile since we were in The Scene, so it was kinda nice to see all the regulars again. And quite a few new faces too I might add. I think new faces outnumbered old by at least 2 to 1! lol But who's fault is that, I mean we hardly go out anymore, and certainly not to "goth" things....I wish going out wasn't such an effort!! lol
It was fun though. S's best friend came over for a bottle of wine before we coerced our flatmate into driving us to town. Even took a few photos of our slightly drunk selves...I wonder how they will look in the cold hard light of day!! lol I'll have to go looking for the camera soon to find out. Not right now though. Its cold and I'm on the couch with laptop and blanket. And hot chips....mmmmmm!
Dancing was fun last night too! Much stomping in big boots. We didn't get to hear much of the Industrial stuff, the gothy set was playing when we got there and for a few hours after. I think they may have been starting up the Industrial set when we bailed some time after 1am. Home by 2am, how sad is that!! lol I was happy to hear and dance to some Siouxsie though, so all was not lost. There was a monster of a track on at one point, something by Covenant I think, but S can't remember what it was lol. I'd quite like to hear it again!
God, and in other news, I managed to get myself enrolled at MIT. Suffereing slightly from buyers remorse I think lol It's all very scary, I've never been a tertiary student before really. And I'm not a fan of new situations and people. But I think it will be good for me too. It's a minor qualification, but one that will get me a job at the end of it. I'm doing a Certificate in Logistics. It's a one semester course which on it's own will get me into the import/export/freight/shipping industry. But there is also a diploma in shipping and freight that I might do 2008. Something I think I've wanted to do for a long time now. i'm a shipgeek, and would love to work in or near a port somewhere. For a major shipping line. Thats the dream! ha. And now I'm finally doing something about it, yay.
Bring on the student allowance heh. I'll probably have to get a part time job also. Cos I'm gonna be mighty poor!

yes - it is a proper-noun!
congrats on the MIT course --- shipping is fun! --- i deal with freight forwarders every day in my job and most of them are a bunch of fucking retards! (I know that sounds harsh but they really are!) --- it'd be nice to have someone with a brain in the industry!
also --- yay for hot chips! --- i spent an afternoon under a blanket with a plate of hot chips and (good god I'm embaressed to say this) the Sponge Bob Squarepants Xbox game! --- heh! (not only did i play it - but i completed it too!)
I am uber-geek.
