Oh man, it's just a few days away from our first market!! It's exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time!
FYI
S is being alot calmer than she has for previous ones that we've attended, let alone ORGANISED. But she has done really well, and I'm very proud of her
I really hope we get enough foot traffic through. I think our advertising will help, we've dropped flyers at shops and cafes in Kingsland, Dominion Road, Mt Eden, Krd, and a few other places. We've done letterboxing around the venue etc also. Oh and adds in community papers, and on the Living Channel on sky. So I hope all these people show up for a look and to buy stuff!
The guy who runs the venue is so cute, this old dude, he's really excited! And keeps telling us he's invited all his cat-loving friends (since we have some proceeds going to The Lonely Miaow Association). He's being really helpful, other than just hiring out the venue to us. And is even excited about the next one, he was the one suggesting that we look at the dates for another one. So that one will probably be in November.
I really hope S sells alot this time, she takes it SO personal when her stuff doesn't sell. The last market we attended was a complete failure....but it was just in the wrong venue and had the wrong foot traffic, nobody there managed to sell much. S has made awesome things, bags, cushion covers with awesome felt appliques, children's clothes, scarves, hot water bottle covers....so many cool things!
I have some bookmarks that I've made to try and sell lol hardly in the same league as S, but I think they're cool. I cut up old books and calendars and magazines and stuff. And some using bits of retro/vintage fabric. They're laminated and everything ehehe
heheh Thelma and Louise is on MGM. Haven't seen this movie in years.
