So the show went off without a hitch. We had been expecting somewhere around 100 people to attend. Guess how many payed to get in?.....267!!!! We were the first to go on and even though we were screwing up because of space restraints the crown absolutly loved us, or at least pretended to. We could not have asked for a better group of people, especially that early in the evening, thats why we put ourselves first so we wouldn't have to subjct any of our other acts to a scarcely filled house. So I was the MC for the night and that job quickly took on the role of stage manager as well. I pretty must went into automatic piolet for the rest of the evening. I was running around like crazy and basicly running the show. But it went well , no huge drama considering we had three of the bay areas best bellydance troops and two well known bay area musicians and two equally as well known DJ's all of which have dramatic insestious pasts. Where there could have been cat fights there was genuine love and excitement for such an awesome event. I don't want to pat myself on the back too much but I came up with the idea, booked 4 out of 6 of the acts, MCed, Stage Managed and it was a huge sucess!!!!! I am truely proud of my powers to see things through! So the next day I felt completely hung over and all I had was one glass of wine before the whole show started. The only thing I can think of is that my adrenilin was going so hard that I was totally worthless the next day. One big lesson learned....Don't take on everything, I need to be more vocal about delegating jobs. But thats about it. Will I do it again? Hell Yeah!
