IT'S BEEN SOMETIME SINCE I'VE SHOWN MY MUG AROUND HERE...
So I've been away awhile. Yeah there were some problems. Some stupid, some not so stupid.
Firstly, my girlfriends grandfather passed away last sunday. It was long-time coming but it was still very hard on her. I ended up spending the day with her (though I had plans ot go home that evening) and go with her to his wake the next day. She was pretty bad off, from what I was told by her family they were very close. I just tried to be the best boyfriend I could and just be there for her. Regretably, I was unable to attend the funeral the next day for I had school and a biology class to fail.
When I came home tuesday night from work I decided to "secure" my computer. After watching a rather paranoid inducing program on the history channel I decided to secure my computer and put a password on it. Well...apparently that wasn't the smartest idea I've ever had. After shutting it down for the evening I tried starting it the next morning and found that I was locked out of the computer. I know I was double-plus positive about the password but it just wouldn't let me log in. I sent out a plea to my friends to help me out, since they are computer geeks and such and the best they could tell me was to wait till saturday to when they came over. Well, saturday rolls around and they come over and hover around my archaic machine and attempting break into it using some crazy program that I won't even try to attempt to explain here. Needless to say...it didn't work. Their theory is that a virus completly corrupted my system and destroyed any ability to regain my "old" computer. I was sad and distraught.
But then suddenly the all rush out to their respective cars and come back in with computer parts and a monitor and other computer things. Apparently they had been plotting for months to upgrade my computer and they pooled together spare stuffs they had from their other computers and made me a new and super-improved one. My friends RAWK!!! I never expected them to do anything like that and I don't think there is anyway I could possibly repay them for their kindness and generosity.
Well that was long and drawn out, hope everyone is doing well.
xoxo
