yep, felt that I needed to post some pics of myself
thats me just prior to going out for a very thrilling thursday night.
so a friend of mine has a chance for me to do a performance art thing - I said, "I could sit there and cut on myself" and he said, "that would be cool" - so I really want to do it - how do you make that into something worth watching though? Ill have to think about it - it would be cool maybe to wear all white clothes, and have bowls of water, and cut through the clothes, and get them wet, so that eventually you were a big mess of torn clothes and blood and water - ... I think that its going to be kind of a "performance art fair" type thing - like several things going on at once, not just one act on a stage- light and sound could help too -
its weird writing about current relations when you know the person youre writing about will likely read it, but oh well - a main reason I like sg is for the non locals you know - to get to communicate with the people who are not so lucky as to live in beautiful albuquerque nm.
so, Im experimenting with getting to know people before sleeping with them -Of course at any given moment its a single "person" that I would be getting to know romantically, not "people". its great. I remember being kind of stunned when my counselor about a year ago suggested dating someone for at least a few months before sleeping with them. I was like, "what, how long...? 3 months....." and she was like, "yeah, at least...." ha ha - I dont know, maybe Ive subscribed to some myth that relationships should start with a flash of sexual energy - and Im sure they do for lots of people, but Ive never had one start that way really. In reality, Ive had quite a bit of anxiety regarding sex throughout my life. And so the idea of getting to know someone, and feeling comfortable with them, and trusting them, and maybe even sharing a not insignificant bond with them before sleeping with them is attractive.
