blameshift

So, I met the girlfriend's family last night, that went well. A lot of women in that family...Sourthern women...Modern Southern women, so they all work and have kids, but they'll make sure to tell you "I like you, you're a good kid. You hurt my daughter/ niece/ sister/ granddaughter/ cousin...I'll fuck you up."Ok, I can take that, but I don't really like the 25 year old friend of the family they had over that was seriously hitting on my girlfriend. I looked at him as if to say, "What the fuck are you doing?" She asked me in the car later, "Were you jealous that Josh was hitting on me? That's so sweet of you!" I said, "I'm not jealous; that would mean I was nervous he was going to succeed. I know for a fact that you like me a HELL of a lot more, so, no, honey, I wasn't jealous."
I have asked a lot of people about the ex-girlfriend situation, asking them if I'm the asshole here. I was glad to get a resounding "Hell NO!" from everyone, that makes me feel good....
Still no job...here's a hint...if you put your ad in the paper and say "Hey, we need people" it probably means you're desperate...so if you are, why not hire me? I'm good at washing dishes....come on, you know you wanna hire me...please?

Ok, so maybe not.

So that means it's time to work on a demo so I can give it to clubs and play around for some cash. that's always good. I get paid to play guitar and drink, now that's what I call job skills.
