From a young age I was always really drawn to people with tattoos. I find tattoos fascinating and think it’s a very personal and creative way to express yourself and what you love. I think they really do tell your story. I remember as soon as I turned 18 I booked in for the the tiniest little paw print to have in my groin. I didn’t know if I’d do well with the pain and wanted it to be a secret so kept it really small and simple haha. From that point on I’d caught the bug. I love go to conventions and seeing all the artists at work and I’m obsessed with realism pieces. A lot of my tattoos are in memory of my grandparents who were so special to me.
My second tattoo was my dream catcher. I dream most nights and they are always super vivid and memorable, I often wake up not knowing what’s real and what isn’t, for that reason I really wanted to get a dreamcatcher. I used to keep one above my head as a child to warn off evil dreams haha
Next up was my swallow birds on my chest, for one I just love chest tattoos on women but the birds were In memory of my Nan and grandad, who I never got to meet.
After that I went on to match up my thighs and had my hot air ballon piece. It was one of my favourite memory’s with my other grandad. It was quite surreal being up in the air in a basket with only fire keeping you a float haha but a special memory all the same. Decided to put their initial in my little flag and they are both flying high ❤️
Next up is my underbutt script, sounds odd but it’s a phrase that all my family used to say to me as a child before I went to sleep. A lot of people ask me if it’s a sexual thing haha and it’s far from it. It’s just a sentimental thing I used to hear a lot as a kid
Next is my largest piece of all! My stomach! Ive always loved animals and just fancied doing something detailed and super quirky. Originally it was only supposed to be a little sternum piece, but me and the tattooist got carried away with the design and decided it would work best as a big piece. If someone asked my what goes on inside my crazy head I reckon it would look a lot like this carousel haha
Next up is my pubic piece, never thought I’d have the lady balls to get this done but once my stomach was finished I had this big old blank space between that and my thigh pieces and wanted something that was pretty and would sit in the place really nicely. So little bambi landed the spot haha
Last but not least my most special pieces. My grandma and grandad themselves. Grandma always hated having her picture taken and if she was still here she’d probably hate that I had her face put on my arm but she was an amazing person and beautiful inside and out. As for grandad, he was part of The Lions club which was a charity organisation which he dedicated a lot of his time to. Decided to have his piece with a lions head in memory of all of the good he did in his life. Both the images you see are actually taken from photographs on them on their wedding day ♥️
Well guys that’s a wrap! Next up are going to be my mandala under arm pieces by the same artist that did my stomach, super excited for those!
