I highly recommend people go out and buy the current issue of Adbusters. I have been reading these magazines for over a year now, and something about the new issue really speaks to me. It's The Game Of Life. Home schooling vs. the public system, Activisim, neoclassical economics, counter-culture and protest and the unbelieveable increase of children on meds, whether they need it or not! This issue has inspired me to start making buttons and stickers again to raise awareness of the coporate conglomerates that are making billions at the cost of our health and enviroment, and in some cases, at the cost of human lives. It just really makes you think as you read it. It doesn't cram the typical media tripe down your throat that all the other magazines out there do. Best of all, it breaks all the rules of design, and refuses to conform to what a magazine should look like. Now, I don't believe everything I read, which is why this magazine is so much better than anything out there. It's, as I said above, more counter-culture than actual news. It does present facts but also promotes you to research it yourself and make up your own mind. Most of all...very few of the articles are written by journalists...a lot of it is reader submission. It doesn't throw corporate logos at you on every second page. Just, go out and buy it! Yes, it may cost a little more than most of the other crap on the shelf, but it is very well worth it! Please check it out, and spread the word!
