Yay Tsumani Bomb concert!!! Boo fucking border guards who wouldn't let them into Canada. So I didn't get to see wicked hot Agent M.
However, I did get introduced to 3 other kick ass bands. So here we go!
: : Bands In Review : :
Mad Cowboys - Local band that is pretty fuckin' good. I was really impressed. I'd go see them again. Something about them reminded me of Flashlight Brown. And they ended the night with a Johnny Cash cover...never heard Cash done in punk. Amused.
The Loved Ones - More of a hardcore punk band, which is exactly the way I like it! Despite the few trashy things they said about T.B. they were pretty cool. Picked up their EP at the show and talked to some of the members a bit. If you ever get a chance, check them out.
Crowned King - Originally supposed to be on just before T.B. they became the new headliners. Absolutely killer! Got a hardcore punk sound, with a hint of Ska. Lead singer has fun too. Hanging from the lights as he sings and doing a little crowd surfing. Really cool band. Bought their album and a shirt. Plus got the cd booklet signed. Go Canadian Bands!!!
Night Overall - A very good night. Despite not being able to see one of my favourite bands, it was still a good time. Legs are gonna kill me tomorrow from being in the mosh pit, and my alarm goes off in about 5 hours...and I'm still pumped. But I was smart enough to pick up 2 cans of Red Bull before getting home. Good healthy breakfast.
In other news, I'm quitting my job. Friday is going to be my last day. Tomorrow I'm going to go talk to my old boss and see if I can come back. It still not what I wanted to do, nor do I really like it there, but I do like it more than where I am now! Better crowd, and I don't want to punch anyone out there. Damn near did that yesterday, so that's the sign to me that I've got to get out.
But now I try to sleep.
