So my best friend of 15 years died this afternoon.
He will be dearly missed.
He was there for me whenever I needed him, and despite pissing me off a couple times and causing me a bit of grief, I could always count on him to make me smile, and make me feel better.
He comforted me when I needed it.
Entertained me when I was bored.
Kept me on my toes.
And always made me happy.
I loved him so much. And those who know me know I'm not one to throw that word around lightly.
But it was finally just his time.
He was old.
He had trouble walking and getting up.
Stairs were not his friend.
He was 17.
Most dogs his size only live to be 10, maybe 12 if they're lucky. He hung in there 5 more years.
I've never had a dog like him before, and I probably never will.
We got him in January of 1992, and lost him today, the last day of January 2007.
He was (and always will be) my best friend, and I'll miss him.

I am on antibiotics now too. I started feeling really sick and my face got swollen so I got it checked out and it was infected. I got more T3's though

Sorry to hear that. 17 years is a long time for any type of dog to live, your lucky you had him for so long.
