What I learned from rollerblading today:
1) The area I live in has LOTS of steep hills
2) My apartment is at the very top of a very steep hill
3) I'm really outta shape and going up all those hills damn near killed me!!
4) I don't like big steep hills
But at least I got to go rollerblading...haven't been since moving into this place. And it's prolly gonna be the last chance of the year for that so I'm glad I got it in. Time to retire this pair, next season I'll have to invest in some new ones. To bad...I like these ones. They're totally thrashed and beat to shit. Gives 'em personality, and lots of memories of all the jumps and wipe outs that lead up the the thrashing. But alas, parts like brakes are no longer available for that style...and over the years, I've come to enjoy being able to stop.
Other things making headlines this week:
Back to work this week. Day one taken care of. Went nice and quick. Busy day. Tonight I was supposed to go to the Matt Dusk show, but the girl that invited me cancelled it because her best friend is infatuated with me and got all pissed off at her for wanting to hang out with me in a scenerio that is almost date-like. Can we say....immmature?! Anyways friday night is the Twilight Wine and Chills at the Lougheed House. Should be good times. I love E. A. Poe. And now that things between me and Jana are done, I'm going back to one of the girls I was starting to pursue just before meeting Jana. So wish me luck!
Also, my buddy from BC is touring/backpacking across Canada, and stopping in Calgary this weekend, so I've decided to have a get together at my place. If you're gonna be around and looking for something to do, let me know and I can give ya' details.
