Well, I've been feeling really shitty lately. Lately I've only been happy at work. As soon as I leave work, life becomes shit. So I've been drinking a lot more over the past few days. Getting more beer after this posting. And tomorrow (St. Paddy's day) will be an opportunity for even more beer. And then comes the wedding in Medicine Hat on Saturday. My plan: Get completely shitfaced! I have absolutely no desire to go to this fucking wedding. I'd rather work! So instead, I'm gonna just do what I can to fuck myself up. If I had some weed, I'd bring that too, just to really destroy myself. Fuck, anybody want to go on my behalf?

I just wish Jennifer could have made it up here to accompany me to this wedding, but unfortunately, that just ain't happening. Then at least I might look foward to something. Sadly, there's nothing in my life right now I'm looking foward to. Well, not totally anyways. I'm kinda looking foward to the opening of the new store, where I'll be second in command, and I'll be the jr. designer. But the location is really shitty. I hate driving downtown on a good day. With this new location, I've gotta drive THROUGH downtown to get there during rush hour (unless I take the really long way around). So it's just so much more of a hassle. Maybe in a few months, things will start looking up for me. Hopefully mom will be able to take my dogs, then I can get the fuck out of here and move to the west side of town, to make work travel easier. Hopefully!

So yea, right now life consits of Beer, Depression, Anger, Pessimism and more beer (only because I need a replacement for weed, until I find a new dealer). The last few nights, my drive home has been decent tho. It's been very foggy on the outskirts of town, so I've been driving down a dark highway, surrounded by thick grey fog with no trace of human activity or existance. Completely isolated from the world, listening to dark/heavy/semi-emo music. Making it feel like I'm truely alone on this planet. Giving me 20 minutes to appreciate the nothingness. Making me realize how much easier life would be if there were nothing else in the world. No people. No light. Just a dark highway, and thick choking fog. It's like my mind has been transported into the real world, and the feeling of loneliness I've been experiencing as of late has come to life. Unfortunately tho, eventually I have to head back towards the city. The light starts to pierce through the darkness and the fog, until I'm suddenly snapped back to a reality I don't want to face. But now I'm getting into personal shit that nobody gives two fucks about, so I'll change the topic and end on an interesting article I read in the most recent issue of Adbusters:

"That ever-explosive mix of sports and politics was front and center at the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships in Canada. Even in games that had no bearing on the Canadian team, fans cheered for the Americans' opponent and enthusiastically chanted 'US sucks.' It was impossible not to notice the heightened animosity compared to previous tournaments held in Canada, and USA Today hockey writer Kevin Allen observed 'It's a shame that world events have led to this fracture in Canadian-American relations.'

But it's not just the residents of Soviet Canuckistan - a Pat Buchanan dig that many Canadians have embraced - who have soured the US. A recent poll by Australia's center-right think tank the Lowry Institute found that only 58 percent of Australians have a positive view of the US. Likewise, the 2005 Pew Global Attitudes Survey indicated that only 55 percent of Britons held a favourable opinion of the US. It was the fifth year in a row that favourable views of the US have dipped in Britain.

It's no revelation to point out that there is a healthy dose of anti-Americanism in the world today. But Canada, Australia and the UK represent three of Uncle Sam's closes allies. The bully may want to consider why even his playmates are throwing sand at him."
