A friend of mine sold me a strand of Tebetan prayer beads a while back. He was told and in turn told me that they are made of yak bone. They are in the shape of little skulls.
Last weekend someone asked what they were and I told them. They instantly droped them and said that Tebetan prayer beads are not made of yak bone but of human finger bone. EVEN BETTER! If they are actually made of this. I haven't had a chance to research this yet but if any of you have any info about this let me know.
