ahhh... so my first week of school is done. yay. What do I have to say for myself...fuck blind contour. I got into this Introductory Drawing course by weaseling an undergrad credit and making it a grad credit (social skills are always a plus) and we started off at the basics today. Now maybe I'm expecting a bit much but my blind contours look like shit. I know there not supposed to be masterful works of art but I always seem to judge my work by other peoples..correction, I always judge myself by the people who do spectacular work. This cute girl in my class, im almost afraid to ask how old she is, kicks ass at blind contours. needless to say, it can really knock the wind out of you when your trying to get into an art field and your blind drawing skills suck. But whatever, when I'm looking at the page I can pull off some good stuff. Well better than looking away anyways. So far it feels good to be back into classes. After I quit the job in Baltimore I turned into this slug. Partying til 5am during the week and sleeping til 3p or later during the day. It was a nasty habit that I'm happy I'm breaking. I ran today too which made me feel more like a human being. Now the downside, the homework. Shitloads of reading to do. This weekend, homework is the last thing on my mind. Tomorrow is my birthday so I'm traveling home, tonight me and the Manayunk kids are partying, Saturday I'm rushing back up for a free Against Me! show near school. All in all it should be an awesome weekend. That's my bit for today. Lates.
