Sex, life, and money... I have a somewhat different perspective on these things. It's funny how movies can get your mind working which is maybe why I like them so much. Society is the root of all evil. It tells you what to think, what to do, and how to do it. For example, sex and the Suicide Girls... Society created the feminist movement saying...

Desire...
Wow, how much this one thing fucks people up. In Buddhism I think its the second noble truth that this causes suffering and pain, and ironically you have to desire to not desire, kind of an oxymoron. It might work if you consider zen beliefs. In reality, I think this one thing both destroys and motivates people. However, is desire just another word for...

It is true that most of our ills come from want. I am not sure if it is even possible anymore for peole to separate true needs from desires anymore. It is truly an oxymoron, as you said, how in order to rid yourself from it you have to use the very thing you want to rid yourself from.

so you dj??
Stress and work...
There's alot of things in the world that affect people, a couple being favoritism and inequality. The best example I can give is work. There's always someone treated better than you and that gets away with more. Honestly it kinda sucks. I used to pull my hair out over what other people get away with and what other shifts where I work...

My job really pisses me off too. Even in this day, it still astounds me just how unequal shit can be in the workplace (and elsewhere). That's why I'm doing my best to get the fudge out of there..it isn't worth the heartache.

hi
The most diverse instrument...
There is only one instrument I've heard in almost every type of music and still is amazingly impressive in every type of music. The only instrument I don't know how to play but would actually take lessons to learn. Its an amazing instrument that can bring much emotion with just sound. It's much more diverse than guitar or even drums. It...

i agree. yes, the human voice is the most diverse instrument of them all. and, i say this because i am a singer, and it still amazes me everyday just how magical it is to be able to use the human voice in such a way.
Siddhartha is my prophet... When I say prophet, I mean by definition as in, "A person gifted with profound moral insight and exceptional powers of expression." When I say Siddhartha, I mean the Buddha. Am I a Buddhist? No, not at this time. However, after looking inside myself and finding what my beliefs are, and reading some things about the life of the Buddha, Im...

the same thing happened to me: went from growing up Catholic, to becoming an atheist in my late-teens/early 20's, to now being agnostic. this all happened with realizing and accepting the spiritual side of life in general. the dalai lama helped me out with the process, as well as buddha.
good luck on your journey ....

My friend that passed recently was Buddhist and he was one of the absolute best guys I've ever had the privilage of knowing! Even when he died at 28, he had no regrets. I'm very envious. I haven't had faith or a belief system since I was a child. Not that it is bad though. One thing he taught me though was the old saying "Live life to the fullest." I believe that more than ever now. Having regrets suck ass and shouldn't dictate your life. There are others with a lot worse.
