WHO got an interview today?
That's right. humble me. Whoop whoop!
I'm quite into technical theatre and I'm hoping to get back into it and study for another qualification now that i've finished my degree (which wasn't theatre related) It's the cool way of working up to museum/ gallery/ major theatre organising standard, as opposed to doing months of administration duties which don't really prove jack to the big kids in London.
Anywho, this is a wee job working in my local theatre, so if I get it I might be able to wangle some helpful work experience on the side. But we'll see. It's only part time so I've applied for another part timer at a nearby school to teach their students how to rig lighting/ use sound boards/ create a general theatre set and maybe make some props too I've already got enough experience to do this fairly easily, even if I am pouring over old textbooks trying to refresh my mind on gobos and safety chains If I can get both it'll be wicked but i don't want to get too excited just in cases.
Other news, my house went on the market yesterday and we've had four viewings already. And two booked for tomorrow. And I worked out my measly income sums mean I can't afford my own flat, but I did some googling and found some tempting house shares in the near area, which although don't give me that silence and space I crave, could be quite fun and mean I get to meet new people.
oh, and i've been scoffing lots of humble pie because i've been acting like a right mardy one lately and some people just don't deserve to be on the other end of it. no one does in fact, but i don't care about that man at the car auction. he was an asshole anyway.
humble pie doesn't taste nice. i eat it too often to feel good about it anymore. i think i might be getting fat over it.
oooooooooo the analogies!!
ramble ramble ramble ramble ramble to bed. zzzzzzzzzz

girlysound:
congrats on the interview and good luck with the house! so what did you study in school?
luthion:
Obviously if you get that job at the school, you should just bring your students over to the theater and have them do all your work for you. Two jobs all done at the same time with little to no effort! And I'll work on the "lame" blog post later so that something more interesting is up there
