What happens when four cartoon characters get together to make music? You get today's selection, the band Gorillaz with the song Empire Ants.

In the last few years it seemed like a lot of old bands I knew were getting back together one of those being today's selection. They released an album at the end of last year and I think this might be the best song from it. Here's the band Death From Above 1979 with the song The Physical World.

In a bit of a rush today so I'll just post what I'm listening to at the moment, here's System of a Down with the song Holy Mountains.

Back in the 90's it's almost like a music atom bomb hit Seattle, Washington and before the dust had even settled a few great bands had emerged including today's selection. Here we have Alice in Chains with the song Nutshell.

I think we need a little female talent added into the mix so today we have Feist with the song The Bad in Each Other.

Take a little trip to Sweden and you'll find the home of today's selection. Here's the band Graveyard with the song The Siren.

Today we have another great Canadian artist and one of my favorites of all time, Matthew Good with the song Blue Skies Over Badlands.

To kick my series off we have the band Finger Eleven with the song Stay and Drown.
