I'm in the Edmonton International Fringe Festival. I'm playing both butlers (Lane/Merriman) in The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. I finished working for the Canadian Census (Federal Government) Call Centre on the 6th of August.
Friday we opened the show and got the best attendance out of all the shows that went up that day. We sold out Saturday, Sunday, and today. We're going to sell out tomorrow, and probably this Saturday.
The show got 4.5/5 'Suns' in the Edmonton Sun, 2.5 stars in SEE Weekly, and as of right now, has not been reviewed in VUE Weekly or the Edmonton Journal.
This will be my first show outside of school, and the first paid gig I've ever had in theatre.
I've seen 7 shows so far at the Fringe, and I'll be going to more before the end (Sunday).

I've been sort of seeing this girl, Jessica, who is an ex-girlfriend of an old semi-friend from Junior High and High School. I've had a ton of space to do my thing. It's great.
School is 15 days away, and it should be a big change in gears and direction.

My best friend from grade 8, the year I moved to BC to live with my dad, is here for a couple of days to hang out and enjoy Edmonton, not specifically to visit me, and is staying on my couch. It's pretty cool.

I'm tired, stressed out, happy, confused, and moving out in about a week to our new house, where my brother will be living with us now. Our landlord decided not the renew the lease, because he wants to sell the house soon. The new house is pretty rad.

The site is great, but I wish I had met more people in the past 10 months that I've been on it. I'll probably renew the account come October. Why not?
...
I cut my hair for the play on Friday, and it's really short and my natural hair colour for the first time in years. Over 10 people have had trouble recognizing me in the past 4 days. I don't recognize myself in the mirror.
