I adopted a Russian Tortoise from the Animal Shelter here in Seattle. Unfortunately, they didn't know what kind he was or even that he was a 'he'.
His name is Kraglor the Over Lord. Or just Kraglor for short.
I haven't figured out how to tell how old he is, but I think he's near, if not already, full grown at about 6 inches long. He really likes his new pen. Full of a top soil/sand mixture and fresh plants and grass planted right inside. He basks mostly under his UV heat bulb. But he dips into his water bowl from time to time, too.
So far Kraglor likes lettuce, carrots, dandelions, and grass.
He dislikes cucumbers and apples. But they're not suposed to have fruit anyways.
It's wonderful having a Tort back in the house.
Ok, now here's an assload of pictures! Enjoy!
And BEST FOR LAST!
