I faked being sick yesterday (to stay home), even though I was kind of mentally wiped out, which ain't quite sick but close. Today, ironically, I feel sick (and I'm at work). I have to concentrate on keeping my stomach calm. Bummer.
If I believed in karma, I'd say something about its effect. I'm not superstitious though. I guess guilt might make you sick, but I surely don't feel guilty about missing work. And, likewise, I don't much believe in guilt either--it's exaggerated most times I think. It also seems a state of being rather than a feeling. If you shoot your mom, you're guilty. Maybe the bitch had it coming though, so you don't feel guilty. Good thing (for her) I love my mom.
So yeah, I only wish I had gone to work when I felt Okay and stayed home (today) when I'm not so Okay...
Wait, scratch that. I'd much rather stay home and be feeling fine (and trashe stayed home with me too, so we had a wonderful day) and waste time here at work sick.
Well, I'm sure everyone is interested in my internal debate, but I'll stop, it's silly.
What else is going on?
I have a load of different work to do this winter. Happy about that. It means money and generally being constructive is a positive thing for me.
We got the coolest stuff for our pets yesterday (trash-hole and I, that is...).
We got this illuminated fake coral thing for the fish tank.
Fish are good pets, easiest to maintain in our house...
Plus, I love staring at them. Staring at the dogs and cat is relatively lackluster.
Speaking of staring at things (or not staring at things). The big wind storm the other night knocked our DirectTV statellite out of alignment, so no TV until Tuesday.
There's always Netflix, Video Games, computer & what's still on Tivo.
We are definately candidates for being over-stimulated.
But maybe, there will be hanging out this weekend, and truly; I'd like to get away from the house and have about way-too-many cocktails somewhere, at some point, during the next two days.
Alright, it's time to do a little work. My boring update is through.
